The 2000 Annual Meeting of the Organization of American Historians, originally scheduled for the Adam's Mark hotel in St. Louis, has been moved to Saint Louis University. The registration, book exhibits, and nearly all sessions will be located on the compact urban campus only two miles from downtown. Click here for a historical account of the 2000 OAH Annual Meeting.

We are pleased to be joined in co-sponsoring this convention by the National Council on Public History (NCPH) and the Missouri Conference on History (MCH). In addition to more than 120 sessions, a book exhibit hall with over 100 major publishers, and a full schedule of tours and off-site venues drawing on Missouri history, the 2000 program includes professional events for graduate students and 10 special teaching sessions.

The 2000 OAH/NCPH/MCH Annual Meeting Program is Online! (The Adobe Acrobat Reader is needed to view the Program.)

Roommate Matching Service
For the first time, the OAH will provide a roommate matching service for those registered for the Annual Meeting who wish to share a hotel room and split the cost of a double room. The OAH will provide contact information to those who match according to their requests. It will then be up to the participant to make the contact and reserve a room. Hotel reservations should be made no later than February 23, 2000. To particpate in the roommate matching service: 1) print and complete the form; 2) mail the completed form, along with your resume or vita to OAH, 112 North Bryan Avenue, Bloomington, IN 47408-4199; 3) make a hotel reservation no later than February 23, 2000.

Dine-around
If you don't know what to do about dinner in St. Louis, the OAH provides an opportunity to meet with old friends and new colleagues during a dine-around Friday, March 31 and Saturday April 1. There is no charge to register for a dine-around, but participants are responsible for payment of their dinner expenses. Sign-up to eat with a group of fellow meeting participants at a downtown restaurant. Register for a dine-around using the preregistration form inserted in the Annual Meeting Program, or with the online preregistration form.

Registration rates are as follows:
