OAH Mailing Lists Information

Thank you for your interest in the mailing list of the Organization of American Historians. OAH currently has around 2,200 institutional subscribers, and 9,000 individual members interested in the full scope of American history. Ordering our list has never been easier. Simply print out the order form, complete and mail or fax to OAH along with your sample material. To obtain current counts prior to ordering please contact the membership department.

Mailing List Policies
OAH reserves the right to reject any order that is not consonant with the goals and purposes of the OAH. Permission to use the labels constitutes neither approval nor endorsement by the OAH of any product or service.

Lists are available on a rental basis for a one time use only, may not be reproduced in any manner, and are available in ASCII comma delimited format only. List orders are not pro-rated. (Any list under 1,000 names will be billed at $150.) No reduced rates apply if fewer than the total number of names ordered are used.

OAH does not sell E-mail addresses.

When an order is placed by an agency or broker on behalf of a customer, the agency or broker and the customer will be held jointly liable for payment. Payment by the customer to the agency or broker shall not constitute payment to the OAH.

All orders must be submitted on the OAH mailing list order form and be accompanied by a sample mailing piece which must be approved prior to processing the order. An OAH invoice will be mailed when the order is filled. Payment (check, MasterCard, Visa, or American Express) is due upon receipt and must be accompanied by a copy of the invoice to ensure proper credit.

The Organization's name may not be used in connection with any mailing without prior written approval from the Executive and/or Deputy Executive Director.

RATES

• $150 per thousand
• Select fee: $20 for certain categories (as indicated)
• Delivery is by E-mail attachment

Note: Counts may vary slightly due to the following reasons:

• Lists are updated daily;
• Members reserve the right to have their names removed from lists that are sold; and
• Lists containing different categories are merged and duplicate names are removed.

Please allow 5 to 7 business days for processing once your order has been received. All sales are final.

How to Order
Please use our Mailing List Order Form. Each order needs to be in writing and include:

• full contact information, including e-mail address, telephone and fax number
• list order information:
  • by employment category or
  • by interest category or
  • all current members
• a copy of the mailing piece
• payment (check, Mastercard, VISA, or American Express)
